Our Familys History

We are a young family... only six years into our story. But so much has happened in those six years.

If you dont know me, my name is Tashena.


Im 22 years old. I was born November 27th, 1986 in Brighton, Colorado. My mother's name is Lori and my fathers name is Daniel. My dad and mom werent married and my mom raised me by herself. She is the strongest woman i have ever known. I love her more than she knows. Shes my best friend.

The love of my life, Isaac, was born April 20, 1986. We met during my sophomore year of high school at Davenport North High School in Davenport, Iowa. I had just transfered to the school in September and we met in October. I had a crush almost immediately. We became really good friends and on January 14, 2003 i kinda sorta asked him out. Actually, i just kissed him. But he kissed me back... and so we started dating...

Things got serious very quickly. Within five months, we found out I was pregnant. My mom was furious but still supported me. We became closer during my pregnancy...

On February 27th, 2004 I gave birth to the most beautiful little boy in the world! Jerzee Isaiah was born after 23.5 hours of labor and 2.5 hours of pushing. He was absolutely perfect at 7 lbs 9 oz and 19.5" long.

Isaac moved in to my moms house with me and Jerzee. I continued to go to school while he worked and mom took care of Jerzee. I stuck it out, and Isaac and I graduated on June 5th, 2005 (moms bday!) when Jerzee (or Jbug as we often call him) was 15 months old.

In December of 2005, we found ourselves expecting again. So, in January of 2006 I signed the papers, closing the deal on our first home. It was a modest 742 sq ft, 2 bedroom home, but it was ours :)


Our second child was due August 31, 2006. We didnt know what we were having. I was induced September 5th and after 8 hours of labor and 1.5 hours of pushing, I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy, 8 lb 6 oz baby girl who we named Jissella Arryanna Bhrenelyn. She was 21" long and absolutely perfect. Bhrenelyn is a mix of my middle names and my moms middle name (BHre-an, RENEe, lewelLYN)

Life continued... Isaac went to school and got his class A CDL... I did some college, but had to quit when Jissella had some health issues. Jerzee started preschool at 3 years old. We were told he had a problem with Language Processing. School helped him immensely. Within months he was a little chatterbox.

In May 2008 we recieved a REAL shock. We were expecting yet again. After an early pregnancy scare, we ound we were due January of 2009. At 17 weeks i developed a severe infection that i had to be hospitalized for. I had spontaneous bleeding because of it and we were scared we were losing our baby. But we didnt!

I was induced December 30, 2008 due to SEVERE SPD (another post, another time). Once again, we didnt know what we were having. But after 8 hours of labor and only 2 pushes, I gave birth to a BEAUTIFUL baby girl!! Another girl!!! Jaylaa Arryella Bhrenelyn was 7 lbs 9 oz and 19.5" long, just like her big brother was when he was born.

So, now im a mom of three beautiful children!!
